Why this ground eats hoses
Front Range subsoil transitions from clay to river cobble without warning, and cobble is what pinches boom-routed lines and chews auxiliary hoses at the coupler end. Trenchers take it worst, with spoil riding the boom exactly where the lines route. Replacements on these machines get sleeved and re-clamped by default, because an identical hose in the same routing is just the next work order.

Everything bills from the published table: a single hose typically lands $220 to $450 all-in, cylinder reseals $350 to $900, and the range is quoted at dispatch, in a text if you want it in the file. Job-site questions
- A machine is down and the crew is standing. What is the realistic timeline?
- Tell us the machine and failure at dispatch and we quote a range and an arrival window on that call. Most of the Carbon Valley and Erie corridor sees the truck in 20 to 35 minutes, and a typical single hose is repaired within an hour of arrival.
- Can the invoice carry our PO number and cost code?
- Yes. Give both at dispatch and they appear on the invoice, along with a summary of what failed and what was replaced. We can text the same summary with photos to the superintendent who called it in.
- Do you repair rental machines on our site?
- Yes, with the rental company’s sign-off. We coordinate directly with the rental house when asked, document the failure, and keep the paper straight so the repair cost lands where it belongs.
- What about auxiliary circuits and attachment couplers?
- Aux circuit hoses and flat-face couplers are the most common failures we see on compact equipment, because they live at the business end. We stock the frequent sizes and can usually swap a chewed coupler the same visit.
